Holiday Hours & Seasonal Events
(~7 min) Closure schedule, modified hours, and how we celebrate—with safe, fun enrichment—at our Scottsdale & Cave Creek campuses.
Overview
We balance structure with celebration. On a small number of holidays, our campuses are closed to the public (no classes, drop-offs, or pick-ups), but our care team remains on-site for dogs who are boarding or in Stay & Train. On other holidays, we host festive enrichment and mini photoshoots—great training opportunities disguised as fun.
Note: Specific dates and event themes can vary year to year. Please check your Parent Portal announcements and campus calendar for the latest details.

Boarding & Staff Availability (365 Days/Year)
Even on closure days, our on-site team provides full care for boarding dogs:
-
Feeding & Medication (as directed)
-
Potty Breaks & Exercise (weather-appropriate)
-
Enrichment & Comfort (calm activities; extra supervision)
-
Wellness Monitoring (behavior, appetite, stool checks; notes in your dog’s record)
We maintain our normal care standards while public services (check-ins/out, classes) pause.
Holidays with Special Events & Enrichment
On many holidays we run themed training/enrichment—these are not closures. Dogs attending DaySchool, DayCamp, Puppy School, or Stay & Train may participate in:
-
Themed enrichment (confidence games, obstacle “parades,” scent hunts)
-
Seasonal photoshoots (digital “Pupdates” include pictures; print options on request)
-
Holiday treats (dog-safe; respect dietary notes on file)
-
Holiday-flavored obedience games (pattern work, polite greetings, place/settle with props)
Participation is automatic for enrolled dogs on those days. We tailor activities to each dog’s temperament and training level.
Common Questions & Answers
