What You Can Do in the Portal

  • Request/Book: Boarding, DaySchool (small-group day training), DayCamp (1:1 day training), select classes.

  • Enroll: Pet Parenting Group Classes by grade level.

  • Calendar: See every confirmed reservation and class.

  • Records: Upload Bordetella, Rabies, DHPP; add feeding/med notes.

  • Agreements: Read and e-sign required policies.

  • Profile: Update contacts, emergency info, preferred location.

Note: Certain special events (e.g., Rattlesnake Avoidance) are booked on our main website event page.

Dashboard Tour (What you’ll see and where to find it)

  • Home → Notifications Center: Your “at-a-glance” hub for anything that needs attention (e.g., missing pet info, expired/missing vaccinations, or a Gingr PreCheck form to complete). Click any notice to jump straight to the page to fix it; once resolved, the notice disappears automatically. If your dog is already checked in, the PreCheck notice is removed.

  • My Pets / Profiles: View and edit each pet’s profile, upload Bordetella, Rabies, DHPP records (PDF/JPG/PNG), and confirm feeding/meds notes. Gingr highlights missing/expired items until a valid file is on record.

  • Calendar / Schedule: A consolidated view of all upcoming reservations and classes. Use it to double-check dates, times, and locations after you submit a request.

  • Book / Request Services: Start new Boarding, DaySchool/DayCamp, or other services from the portal. During booking you can add multiple dates in one request via + Add More Dates, then submit everything together from the Review step.

  • Classes: Browse and request enrollment for available group classes and times. Some facilities require a package or staff placement before self-enrollment appears—this is configurable per site.

  • Report Cards & Media: Your dog’s Report Card (Pupdates) is shared via an email/SMS link. Any photos/videos attached to the report card can also appear on your portal’s View page or in your Adventure Album as soon as they’re uploaded.

Tip: If you can’t submit a request, check the Notifications Center first—Gingr blocks bookings until required items (e.g., vaccines or agreements) are complete.

Notifications & Alerts

How they work and what to expect

  • Where you’ll see them: All pet parents receive alerts in the in-app Notifications Center on the portal home screen—this is the system of record for anything you need to do.

  • What shows up: Common items include missing profile details, missing/expired vaccinations, and available PreCheck forms for faster drop-off. Each notice links to the exact place to fix it.

  • When they clear: As soon as you complete the required step (upload a vaccine, finish PreCheck, sign an agreement), the notification automatically disappears. If your dog is checked in, any remaining PreCheck notice clears as well.

  • How you receive them: In addition to the in-portal center, you will receive notifications by email, and/or SMS. You’ll still always see them in the portal even if you also get messages another way.

  • Capacity & status updates: Some alerts reflect booking actions (e.g., reservation requests, cancellations, special closures).

If anything seems unclear or a notice won’t clear after you’ve completed a step, refresh the page and recheck the item’s date (e.g., vaccine administered date). If it persists, contact Support and we’ll take a look.

Where to manage notifications

  1. Log in to your Parent Portal.
  2. Go to Profile (or My Account) → Contact / Notification Preferences.
  3. Verify your email and mobile number.
  4. Toggle Email and SMS categories you want to receive

Notices that cannot be turned off (required)

For safety, legal, or logistical reasons, these are always on (channel may vary by situation):

  • Reservation confirmations/changes/cancellations

  • Deposit/balance due and invoice notices tied to an active booking

  • PreCheck/required forms related to an upcoming service

  • Vaccination missing/expired or policy-required documents

  • Pickup/checkout timing and urgent facility alerts

  • Emergency or health/safety communications

These ensure you don’t miss time-sensitive items that affect your dog’s care, eligibility, or release.

Common Questions & Answers

How do I book boarding?
Go to Boarding under Services, pick dates/location, add care notes/meds, and submit. You’ll receive a confirmation once processed.

Can I modify or cancel a booking?
Yes, access your bookings in the Parent Portal, select the reservation, and choose the "Edit" or "Cancel" option.

How do I enroll in a Pet Parenting Class?
Go to Classes, select your grade level and time, then Enroll. If you’re new to classes, schedule a PD360 Assessment first for placement.

I can’t see dates for DaySchool/DayCamp.
Contact support if no dates are available, as this may mean camp is fully booked. You may request to be notified if a spot opens.

Where do I sign agreements?
In Agreements, open, read, and e-sign each required document. The portal flags anything missing or expiring.

How do I upload vaccines?
Go to Pets → Upload and add Bordetella, Rabies, DHPP with visible dates. Please ensure vaccines were given ≥ 7 days before service.

Can I book multiple services at once?
Yes, Gingr allows you to book various services. Each booking will appear individually on your dog’s schedule.

Will I get reminders and updates?
Yes, keep your email/phone current in Profile so you receive confirmations, updates, and renewal reminders.

What if I miss a class?
Check your class confirmation or contact Support regarding make-ups (availability varies).

How are specialty events booked?
Some events (e.g., Rattlesnake Avoidance) are booked on our main website event page, not through the portal.
